Health, Safety & Environment Manager at Sport Aberdeen

Stephen Quigley is the current Health, Safety & Environment Manager at Sport Aberdeen. Stephen has been in this position since January 2016. Prior to that, they were the Quality and Safety Manager at Sport Aberdeen from October 2010 to January 2016. In this role, they were responsible for promoting a positive health and safety culture and implementing quality assurance, continuous improvement and operational systems throughout all areas of the organisation. Stephen also supported and advised operational management teams on best value in sports delivery, service quality and customer care.

Stephen Quigley has an HND in Sports Coaching & Sports Development from North Glasgow College. Stephen also has a certification from the SQA – Scottish Qualifications Authority in NEBOSH National General Certificate (Distinction), and a certification from Ofqual in Level 4 PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector). In addition, they have a certification from the Chartered Institute for The Management of Sport & Physical Activity in CIMSPA Health & Safety Management Certificate, and a certification from the Instituition of Occupational Safety & Health in IOSH Managing Safely Certificate. Stephen also has a certification from Quest NBS in Quest Internal Assessor, and a certification from The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents in Senior Management & Elected Members Health & Safety Certificate. Finally, they have a certification from HSE / Leisure-Force in HSE First Aid at Work Trainer Assessor, and a certification from The Royal Lifesaving Society in National Pool Lifeguard Trainer Assessor.

Stephen Quigley reports to Alistair Robertson, Managing Director. They work with Nickie Scorgie - Head of HR & Organisational Development, Dianne Breen - Programme & Membership Services Manager, and Val Mackie - Insights & Performance Manager.
