Mikael Malmgren has a wealth of work experience. Mikael began their career in 2009 as a Team Manager at PostNord, where they worked both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to provide a world-class service to customers. In 2012, they moved to Gårdarike IBK, where they served as a Team Coach, planning, preparing, and delivering coaching sessions in the youth development phase in tandem with the club philosophy and coaching syllabus. In 2017, they joined Kvarnby IK as Managing Director - Youth, providing a high standard coaching to the club's 700 members, interviewing potential coaches, and ensuring that all academy players adhere to the club's values. Most recently, they began working as a Customer Success Manager at SportAdmin in 2022.

Mikael Malmgren completed a Bachelor's degree in Sports Science/Sports Management from Malmö University in 2012. Mikael then returned to Malmö University in 2015 to pursue a degree in Computer Science & Application Development, which they are still currently working towards.
