Andreas Rister has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Andreas is currently the Director Legal & Compliance Global at Sport Group Holding since June 2022. Prior to this, they briefly worked as an RA at the same company. From 2013 to 2022, they held various positions at HOERBIGER Deutschland Holding GmbH, including Head of Legal for multiple Business Units and Group Shared Services, as well as Leader of the Competence Centre Automotive Branch. Before that, they worked at HOERBIGER Antriebstechnik Holding GmbH as the Head of Legal and Patents for their Antriebstechnik Division. Andreas also served as the Head of Legal at HOERBIGER Antriebstechnik GmbH. Andreas started their career as a lawyer at Rechtsanwaltskanzlei B & Coll before working as an Interim-Manager of Law at Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH. Andreas began their professional journey as a Fähnrich der Reserve, Offizieranwärter in the Bundeswehr from 1988 to 1990.

Andreas Rister completed their undergraduate studies in Law (Rechtswissenschaft) at Heidelberg University from 1990 to 1994. Andreas then pursued further legal training as a practitioner (Volljurist) during their time in Rheinland-Pfalz from 1995 to 1997. In addition to their legal studies, Andreas also took courses in Philosophy and Sociology at the University of Ruperto Carola Heidelberg in 1995. In 2002, they attended a specialized training program (Fachanwaltslehrgang) in Labor Law. Most recently, in 2018, Andreas undertook another specialized training program, this time in Information Technology.
