Joseph Fackel has a strong background in strategic development, analytics, and retail real estate. Joseph currently holds the position of Regional Vice President, Strategic Development at The Sports Facilities Companies, where they focus on turning sports, recreation, wellness, event, and entertainment ideas into successful facilities. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Fellow & Vice President at Buxton, where they were responsible for sales and management. Joseph also served as a Founding Partner at The Canvass Group, providing insights into potential retail growth opportunities for clients in the public sector. Before that, they were an Executive Vice President at Retail Strategies, leading the company's entrance into new markets and securing numerous client engagements. Joseph's experience also includes roles as Senior Vice President at Buxton, Senior Account Director at TBA Global, Account Executive at SourceLine, Inc., and Director of Marketing & Recreational Programs at USTA Midwest.

Joseph Fackel began their education at Rock Island High School, where they completed a College Preparatory program from 1983 to 1987. Joseph then went on to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. In 2004, they attended California State University, Fresno for a Basic Economic Development Course.

In addition to their formal education, Joseph Fackel has obtained several certifications. In 2004, they received a Basic Economic Development Course certification from the International Economic Development Council. In 2013, they obtained a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson certification from the Texas Real Estate Commission. Joseph is also a member of the ICSC, a professional organization in the retail real estate industry.
