Matthew Thornsbury

Matthew Thornsbury is a professional in sports media with extensive experience as a podcast host and sports writer. Since March 2021, Matthew has hosted "The Inside Scoop: Mountaineer Sports Updates," where interviews with athletes and sports professionals reveal their career journeys and untold stories. In addition, Matthew has contributed as a sports writer for both Sports Illustrated and The Associated Press, alongside previous writing roles at Blue Gold Sports. Matthew also engages audiences as a public speaker through "YOUR Future w/ Matt Thornsbury." A former life insurance agent, Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from West Virginia University, completed in 2020.
