Job description

We are looking for a driven, enthusiastic Sr. Payroll Analyst to support the North America (US/Canada) payroll operations. Requiring excellent relationships with both external Payroll providers and internal HR Generalists & Stock Administrators across the Americas. You will be responsible for processing and tracking data flow within the system to meet deadlines for payroll that are accurate and timely. You will have a solid understanding of payroll & stock-related matters, including taxation, benefit, and equity plans.

What You'll Do

  • Process full-cycle payroll to ensure timely and accurate end-to-end, on-cycle payroll process
  • Back up to Payroll Manager for all US North America & Canada payroll transactions
  • Assist in reconciliation and review W-2s and other payroll year-end activities working closely with the Accounting team
  • Manage multi-state payroll tax issues, research and resolve tax notices partnering with ADP resources
  • Assist management with projects as needed, including streamlining and automation of processes
  • Process and reconcile daily stock option exercises, RSU and NSO, and ISO’s releases and settlements using E*Trade
  • Assist in developing payroll systems strategy and plan, define payroll systems requirements through a partnership with HR, Finance, Business Process Owners, and IT teams
  • Develop proposals for new system implementation, system improvements, and process improvement opportunities
  • Support tax and regulatory reporting, quarter-end, and year-end payroll activities, including wage and hour laws, unemployment, and all other required submissions
  • Audit inbound integrations on a semi-monthly basis and knowledge of the EIB process
  • Ensure delivery of local compliance reporting, such as tax filing, 401K, and garnishment requirements
  • Provide superior customer service to employees with questions relating to their payroll via JIRA tickets

Who You Are

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance Accounting
  • 5+ years combined Payroll, Accounting, & Finance related experience
  • Experience with WorkDay, ADP SmartCompliance, NetSuite
  • Expertise in local taxes and governmental reporting
  • Business process improvement skills and a mind for automation
  • Able to work in a high pace, large volume environment
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive data
  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards
  • Excellent organization skills with attention to detail, completeness, and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Excel (e.g. V-lookup, Formulas, Pivots)
  • Hands-on, strong work ethic, and can-do attitude
  • Ability to adapt and change when needed
  • Experience with multi-state payroll and knowledge of Equity (RSU, NSO, ISO)
  • CPP is a plus

  • Hybrid role based in our New York offices (2 to 3 days a week required)
