Pierre Boivin has worked in a variety of roles in the scientific field since 2011. Pierre began their career as an Instructional Support Technician I and Teaching Assistant at Fresno State. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Scientist II at Roche Molecular Systems, where they were responsible for molecular diagnostics in Assay Development for the Microbiology/HPV group on Cobas 6800/8800 high-throughput platform, authorship and execution of Technical Performance Validation (TPV) protocols for FDA review, and setting of specifications for test reagent. In 2016, they worked as a Lab Manager at The University of Texas at Austin. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Scientist at DiscoverX Corporation, and from 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Research Associate II and Senior Research Associate at UNITY Biotechnology. Pierre also conducted research as a Graduate Researcher at Fresno State, where they extracted RNA and DNA from chili pepper, designed and adapted protocols for primer design and PCR, performed gel electrophoresis, and purified and sequenced DNA.
Pierre Boivin obtained their High School diploma from Plano Senior High School in 2005. Pierre then went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, General from California State University, Monterey Bay in 2010. Finally, they obtained a Master's Degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from California State University, Fresno in 2014.
