Prachi Prakash Khekare has been working in the field of research since 2018. In 2021, they began working as a Research Assistant at Spotlight Therapeutics. From 2019 to 2021, they held the role of Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Dallas, where they conducted research focused on urinary tract infections in women. Prachi Prakash also had experience with working in an aseptic environment, making and maintaining microbial cultures, and performing techniques such as RT-PCR, gel electrophoresis, spectroscopy, DNA-RNA extraction, cell cultures, Minimum Inhibitory Concentration assays, Bacterial Kinetic Kill Assays, and Hybrid Genome Assembly. Additionally, they were a Graduate Teaching Assistant, assisting in teaching the Laboratory sessions for the course Mammalian Physiology, helping in course development, and organizing course material. From 2018 to 2019, Prachi was a Clinical Research Coordinator at IQVIA India, where their key responsibilities included analysis of clinical trial documents and approval of payments to the site, efficient co-ordination between the clinical team and the regulatory team at a global level, and analysis of clinical data and maintenance of payment records for 200 sites.
Prachi Prakash Khekare completed their BTech - Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from Padmashree Dr D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth in 2017. Prachi Prakash then pursued a Post graduation diploma in Clinical research from St. Xavier's College in 2018. In 2019, they obtained a Clinical Data Management and Biostatistics certification from PPCE, PUNE. Additionally, they obtained a Forensic Biotechnology and DNA fingerprinting certification from International Forensic Sciences (IFS) in 2018. Prachi is currently pursuing their Master's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from The University of Texas at Dallas, which they are expected to complete in 2021.
