Sandee Astrachan

Sandee Astrachan has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Starting in 1993, they worked as an Account Coordinator at BTDesign until 1996. From 1996 to 1998, they served as an Account Manager at FRYEALLEN, INC, working with clients such as Washburn University, The Golden Eagle Casino, and Mr. Goodcents Subs & Pastas. Sandee then joined Sullivan Higdon & Sink in 1998 as an Interactive Account Executive, where they contributed to the expansion of the agency's digital advertising capabilities. Sandee worked with clients including Cessna Aircraft Company, Rockwell Collins, Teva Marion Partners, and UMB Bank.

In 2006, Sandee pursued a career in floral design, starting as a Floral Design Apprentice at The Monarch Flower Company. Following that, they founded their own business, Stems Flower Market, in 2007, specializing in designing fresh floral elements for weddings and events.

Sandee joined H&R Block in 2003 and held various product management roles until 2019. As a Lead Product Manager, they oversaw the digital tax team, managed product managers, and played a key role in product development, retention, and resolving customer pain points. In their most recent role at SP+ (SP Plus) as Director of Product Management, Sandee is responsible for defining the product vision and strategy, driving product adoption, and leading a team to optimize parking revenues and reduce costs in the parking industry. Sandee is also an advocate for agile development processes and practices.

Sandee Astrachan earned a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism with an Advertising Emphasis from The University of Kansas in 1992. Sandee also attended Bethel College-North Newton from 1985 to 1987, where they remained undeclared. Sandee later completed the Bloch Leadership Development Program at the Henry W. Bloch School of Management - UMKC in 2013. Sandee also obtained a Certificate of Completion in FastTrac New Venture from the Kauffman Foundation in 2003. Furthermore, Sandee has additional certifications as a Certified Scrum Master and Certified Scrum Product Owner, both obtained in March 2011 from ScrumAlliance. Sandee has also pursued studies in Elements of Floral Design at Johnson County Community College.
