Swarun Kulasekaran

An engineer by training, Swarun is a strategic marketing professional with experience working across multiple fields including Peripheral Vascular, Structural Heart, Cardiac Rhythm Management, Neurovascular, Diabetes, Electrophysiology, and Remote Patient Monitoring. At SPRIG, Swarun brings a range of experiences across many stages of commercial development, providing clients with the guidance to launch, sustain, and grow their business. Prior to SPRIG, Swarun worked for Abbott and Medtronic, where he gained experience in commercialization, R&D, and operations. In his role at Abbott Vascular, Swarun led U.S. commercialization efforts for a market leading vascular closure device, focusing on key product messaging, competitive positioning, conference strategy, and sales tactics. At Abbott Cardiac Rhythm Management (formerly St. Jude Medical), Swarun led the strategic direction, engineering activities, and product management of a new manufacturing line, taking it from initial R&D to FDA approval. Swarun began his career at Medtronic Neurovascular (formerly Covidien), where he led the manufacturing line integration of the Reverse Medical startup acquisition. Swarun holds a BA and MS in Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
