Zakiya Williamson, LMFT, has a diverse background in mental health therapy and counseling. Zakiya currently works as a Mental Health Therapist for Legacy Community Health, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Mental Health Therapist for TimelyMD and Spring Health in 2022.

From 2017 to 2022, Zakiya served as a Mental Health Therapist and Supervisor at the Youth Development Clinic, providing school-based mental and behavioral health services to students and their families in the Newark Public School system. Zakiya also provided weekly supervision and management for three doctoral interns during this time.

Zakiya Williamson, LMFT, holds a Bachelor's Degree in History and Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin, which was obtained from 2010 to 2014. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts - MA in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling with a specialty in Sex Therapy at Lewis & Clark College, from 2014 to 2017. Subsequently, Zakiya earned a Post-Graduate Certificate in Infant/ Toddler Mental Health (ITMH) from Portland State University between 2020 and 2021. Additionally, they completed a Master of Art in Marriage and Family Therapy at the Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling from 2014 to 2017.

In terms of certifications, Zakiya obtained a Marriage and Family Therapist certification from AAMFT in September 2022. Zakiya also holds an Infant-Toddler Mental Health Specialist certification from Portland State University, acquired in December 2021. Furthermore, Zakiya has certifications in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) from Behavioral Tech, Domestic Violence Basic Advocacy Training from Raphael House Of Portland, and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) from the National Suicide Research Foundation, completed in July 2018, March 2016, and January 2015, respectively.
