Samantha Fils-Aimé (She/Her)

Assistant Vice President, Curriculum and Instruction at Springboard Collaborative

Samantha Fils-Aimé is a dedicated educator and instructional leader with over 17 years of experience in urban education, teaching and leading in charter and public school districts across three urban cities. Prior to joining Springboard Collaborative, Samantha served as a school administrator and district-level leader in Washington, DC, where she established a proven track record of driving academic growth and improving literacy outcomes. In her leadership roles, Samantha consistently led teams in developing and executing visionary school and district-level strategic plans that strengthened systems and structures for schools. Her leadership in designing and implementing district-wide literacy curricula and professional development initiatives resulted in notable gains in student literacy proficiency and teacher growth.

Committed to the belief that providing all students with consequential literacy skills and knowledge is a social justice movement, Samantha ensures equitable access to high-leverage literacy strategies for all students and families. She challenges schools and leaders to think beyond current data and conditions, understanding that the status quo will never create school communities where all students and families experience the continuous success they deserve.

Samantha holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with her sons, with whom she shares a love for children’s literature, including her favorite childhood book, Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein.
