Tyobista Girma (She/Her)

Tyo has always been passionate about community development and promoting social justice. During her college years, she traveled the world studying and working in various countries, acquiring project management skills, and learning about various social issues that exist around the world. She is a firm believer that all kids deserve not only the access to education but the access to a high-quality education. She graduated from Gettysburg College with a B.A. in Globalization Studies with an emphasis in community development and post-conflict transformation and her master’s in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from Arcadia University. She worked as an Operations Lead with Springboard Collaborative in 2015 and is happy to come back as the Revenue Systems Coordinator to continue to support Springboard’s growth as an organization and its impact on closing the achievement gap. Her favorite children’s book is Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.
