Jenny Barnes

Jenny Barnes has extensive experience in education and athletics, currently serving as an English Language Development instructor at Springdale Public Schools since July 2021 and as a Community Connections Ambassador at Camp Alliance, Inc. since September 2016. Barnes has held various roles in sports media and communications, including a position with the NCAA focusing on tournament media relations. As Athletic Commissioner for Gaffney Athletic Preparatory Academy, Barnes prepares sports enthusiasts for future opportunities, while also having a background as Head Basketball Coach for the Springdale Sonics and Director of College Recruiting for Arkansas Athletes Outreach. Previous experience includes a decade-long tenure as a 5th Grade Teacher at Pullman School District and roles in athletic communications at Washington State University. Barnes holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management from Washington State University.
