Jim Pitman

Jim Pitman is a Professor of Statistics and Mathematics at UC Berkeley, a position held since 1978. Additionally, Jim serves as Series Editor of Selected Works in Probability and Statistics at Springer Science+Business Media since 2009, focusing on the development of editorial workflow tools and bibliographic data management. Jim's leadership experience includes serving as President of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics from 2006 to 2007.
