Mariangels de Planell Saguer

Mariangels De Planell Saguer, Ph.D., MSc, MA, MBE, currently serves as a Commissioning Editor for the Collections Management & Acquisition Publishing Performance Intelligence Group at Springer Nature Group since September 2023. Previously, an extensive career at Columbia University in the City of New York included roles as Project Coordinator for a research study focused on social support for Hispanic and Black dementia caregivers, Associate Research Scientist investigating the treatment potential of selective Hdac6 inhibitors, and teaching positions. Other experience encompasses significant contributions at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and the Global Clinical Practice Network, as well as work with the World Health Organization on the ICD-11 chapter related to nervous system diseases. Education includes advanced degrees in Biostatistics, Human Rights, Neurobiology, and more, along with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance.
