Ananias C. Diokno

Ananias C. Diokno currently serves as a Professor of Urology at the University of Central Florida - College of Medicine since May 2019 and acts as Editor in Chief for the International Urology & Nephrology section published by Springer Publishing Company since 2011. Previously, Diokno held the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Beaumont Health System from September 2006, where responsibilities included the development and execution of clinical, educational, and research strategies. Additionally, Diokno was the Chairman of the Department of Urology at William Beaumont Hospital from July 1984 to August 2007, overseeing clinical, educational, and research programs. Earlier academic contributions were made as a Professor of Urology at the University of Michigan from July 1970 to June 1984. Diokno earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Santo Tomas (1960-1965) and an Associate in Arts from the same institution (1958-1960), following completion of secondary education at Rizal College in the Philippines (1954-1958).
