Katie Vondette

Special Needs Coordinator at SpringHill

Katie Vondette has extensive experience in special needs education and support. Currently serving as the Special Needs Coordinator at SpringHill Camps since June 2013, Katie oversees campers in grades 6-9, focusing on staff training, parent communication, scheduling, and accommodations for physical activities. Previously, as a Respite Care Provider at Residential Options Inc., Katie worked with a non-verbal 15-year-old boy with autism, teaching life skills and facilitating community integration. Katie also held a position as a Special Needs Counselor at SpringHill Camps in 2012, attending to the comprehensive needs of campers with disabilities. Earlier experience includes creating and implementing curriculum as a Sunday School Teacher at Oasis East Lansing. Katie Vondette holds a degree in Special Education from Michigan State University, with additional focus on Social Studies and Urban Education.
