Mark Van de Veen has extensive work experience in the legal and corporate sectors. Mark joined Amoco Canada Petroleum Company Ltd. in 1985 as a Senior Legal Counsel & Assistant Corporate Secretary and stayed there until 1995. Van de Veen then worked at Canadian Airlines International as a Solicitor & Senior Property Manager from 1995 to 1997. Mark joined Cenovus Energy in 1997 and held the position of Associate General Counsel & Assistant Corporate Secretary until 2011.
