Karen Heilbronn Lee

Karen Heilbronn Lee is an experienced Patent Attorney currently serving as an Associate at Spruson & Ferguson since November 2021, following the integration of Shelston IP where Karen held a similar position until October 2021. Previously, Karen was a Patent Attorney and Intellectual Property Consultant at Biotect IP, and served as an in-house Patent Attorney and Intellectual Property Manager at AusHealth, where responsibilities included managing IP rights and overseeing an IP portfolio. Earlier experience includes working at Madderns Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys in various roles dedicated to drafting and prosecuting patent applications, and a scientific editorial position at MYU Research. Karen holds a PhD in Immunology from the University of Melbourne and has a Master’s degree in Industrial Property from the University of Technology Sydney, complemented by significant training in patent law.
