Dean Stephens

Dean Stephens has over three decades of experience in engineering and technology within the semiconductor and forensic science industries. Currently serving as a Deposition Engineering Technologist at SPTS Technologies Ltd since April 2011, Dean specializes in the design and fabrication of hardware for advanced MOCVD techniques and the development of associated processes. Prior to this role, Dean worked as a Principal Applications Engineer at Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology, contributing to the development of the PlasmaPro Estrelas100 Deep Silicon Etching tool. Dean’s career also includes significant achievements at Surface Technology Systems, where involvement in a close-knit team led to the development and successful installation of the Pro CVD tool at a North American customer site. Earlier roles include serving as a Forensic Scientist at the Forensic Science Service and a Characterisation Supervisor at Epitaxial Products International.
