Roland Mumford

Roland Mumford has extensive experience in the semiconductor industry, currently serving as a Technologist at SPTS Technologies Ltd, a KLA Company since July 2012, where Roland held multiple roles including Principal Engineer and Senior Etch Process Engineer. Prior experience includes a position as a Process Development Engineer at Surface Technology Systems from January 2007 to July 2012, and earlier roles such as Process Control Engineer for Diffusion at European Semiconductor Manufacturers from 1999 to 2001. Notably, Roland served as a Crematorium Organist for Thornhill Crematorium, playing at approximately 5000 funerals over three years from September 2003 to January 2007. Roland's educational credentials include a PhD in Chemistry from Swansea University, an MA in Metallurgy and the Science of Materials from the University of Oxford, as well as a Diploma in English Law from The Open University and a PGDFE in Communicating Science from the University of South Wales.
