Ryan Roen

Ryan Roen is an experienced operations manager with a strong background in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as the Operations Manager for the Light Oil Business Unit at Baytex Energy Corp. since March 2020, Ryan leads field operations and facilities teams in the Viking and Duvernay areas. Prior to this, Ryan held several positions at Perpetual Energy Inc., including Manager of Eastern Area Production & Development and Lead Development Engineer for a thermal oil sands pilot project. Ryan's career also includes various roles at Husky Energy, where responsibilities spanned from project management in thermal heavy oil projects to production engineering for cold heavy oil. Ryan's engineering foundation is supported by a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary, complemented by a minor in Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development.
