Anna Gernandt

Anna Gernandt is a web designer and developer with over ten years of experience. Anna has worked with clients of all sizes, from small businesses to large corporations, and has a deep understanding of both web design and development. Anna is currently the Director of Design & UX at Squaremouth, where they oversee the design and user experience of the company's website and products. Prior to joining Squaremouth, Anna was a Frontend & UX Developer at MatchWare Inc., where they developed product specific sites and landing pages, tracked and analyzed site traffic and user behavior, performed A/B testing, converted and optimized existing sites to be responsive and mobile-friendly, developed custom forms for software downloads, and optimized sites for search engines (technical SEO). Before that, they were a Web Designer and Frontend Developer at Digital Eel Web Studio, where they designed websites and created prototypes based on client needs and directives (custom WordPress themes, Joomla templates and HTML5 sites), managed projects from start to finish, worked closely with clients and web-team, critiqued and provided support for fellow designers and developers, performed usability Testing, developed custom plugins and components, created graphics (icons, ads, logo and print design), and optimized sites for search engines (technical SEO). Anna has a deep understanding of the web design process, from concept to completion, and is an expert in both web design and development.

Anna Gernandt has a Bachelor's degree in International Business from Eckerd College, a Web Design Certificate Degree in Web Page, Digital/Multimedia and Information Resources Design from St. Petersburg College, and an Associate of Arts from Tallahassee Community College. Anna has also received certification from Google in both Google Analytics for Power Users and Advanced Google Analytics.
