Gene Moynihan

Gene Moynihan has extensive experience in data management and engineering across several prominent financial institutions. Currently serving as Core Data Manager and previously as Senior q/KDB+ Engineer at Squarepoint Capital since 2020, Gene has also held roles such as KDB+ Developer at HSBC from November 2015 to December 2019 and Data Scientist at First Derivatives during the same period. Additional experience includes a position as KDB+ Engineer at Cubist Systematic Strategies in 2015 and a brief role as Machine Operator at Molex in 2012. Gene's educational background consists of a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Astrophysics from the University of Galway obtained between 2011 and 2015, following studies at St. Joseph's Secondary School from 2006 to 2011.
