Julian Pemrick

Julian Pemrick has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial industry. Julian is currently the Head of Risk Technology at Squarepoint Capital since January 2022. Prior to that, they held the same position at Saxo Bank from March 2021 to December 2021. Julian has also worked at BNP Paribas CIB, where they had various roles including Head of Development, Credit & Flow Rates IT from June 2017 to November 2020, Head of Risk IT Services from October 2015 to May 2017, and Head of Clearing & Credit Trading Risk IT from October 2012 to September 2015. Julian started their career at BNP Paribas Corporate and Institutional Banking, serving as Co-Head of Credit Trading Risk IT from July 2007 to September 2012 and Head of Risk Presentation, Credit IT from June 2006 to June 2007. Julian also has experience working at BNP Paribas New York as Head of Global Flow Credit Risk & US Credit IT from April 2005 to May 2006, Head of US Credit IT from June 2002 to March 2005, and as an Interest Rate Derivatives RAD Developer from May 2000 to May 2002. Julian started their career at Paribas as a Market Risk IT - C/C++ Developer from March 1998 to April 2000. Prior to that, they worked as a C++ Developer at HSBC from September 1995 to February 1997.

Julian Pemrick attended The University of Manchester from 1992 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics. In addition to their formal education, Julian also acquired the certifications of Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance in April 2015.
