Les Ellis

Les ELLIS is a versatile professional with extensive experience in both the arts and horticulture. As a freelance cartoonist and illustrator since 1980, Les specializes in cartoons, caricatures, and book illustrations while maintaining a diverse portfolio that includes commissioned artwork, advertising, greetings cards, and logo designs. In the horticultural field, Les has held various roles, including Horticultural Garden Officer with Hart Voluntary Action, where responsibilities involved organizing gardening sessions for vulnerable residents. Previous positions include Company Director at Chatterleys Garden Services Ltd, Planteria Manager at Wyevale Garden Centres, and Manager at SiennaFlora. Les also served as a Detective Constable with Thames Valley Police for two decades. Education was completed at Duke of Yorks Royal Military School from 1973 to 1978.
