Tianlong Xu

Tianlong Xu is a highly skilled applied scientist and engineer with extensive experience in machine learning and generative AI. Currently serving as a Staff Applied Scientist at Squirrel Ai since January 2024, Tianlong leads the development of AI-powered adaptive education systems for K12. Prior roles include Senior Machine Learning Engineer and Research Scientist at Goldman Sachs, where Tianlong crafted machine learning solutions for quantitative finance applications. At The Home Depot, significant projects involved scalable transformer models for product recommendation and classification, earning multiple patents and published research. Tianlong's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and master's degrees in Operations Research and Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, supplemented by research and internship experiences in various engineering fields.
