Johan Carlsson has held various leadership roles throughout their career. Johan is currently serving as the Director of Project Management at SRI International since May 2023. Before that, they worked at PARC, a Xerox Company, where they held two roles consecutively. Johan was the Head of Project Management Office from January 2021 to May 2023 and the Director of the Innovation Services Group from February 2019 to January 2021. Prior to joining PARC, Carlsson worked as a Biz Dev and Senior Consultant at HiQ from January 2018 to January 2019. Johan also served as the Head of Mobica US, overseeing the US operations of the business from October 2016 to December 2017. Before that, Carlsson held multiple roles at Ericsson Inc, including Director of Innovation, Business Design, and Partnerships from January 2015 to September 2016, Director of Innovation from July 2013 to December 2014, and Site Strategy Management from June 2010 to July 2013. Johan also worked as a Transfer Program Manager at Ericsson Inc from January 2011 to August 2011. Earlier in their career, Carlsson was the CEO, Management Team Member, and CEO and Founder at HiQ MobilEyes AB from July 2007 to September 2009, CEO and Founder of MobilEyes from November 1998 to June 2007, and a Software Consultant at Drivkraft from 1996 to 1998. Johan began their career as a Software Developer and Teacher at Enator from 1994 to 1995 and co-founded BStrong Technology AB, where they served as the CEO from 1993 to 1995.
Johan Carlsson earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 1989 to 1993. In 2014, they also attended Stanford University and pursued studies in Design Thinking.
