Jon Callas

Jon Callas is a seasoned privacy and security researcher serving as a Senior Computer Scientist at SRI International since November 2023. As the Founder and Distinguished Engineer at Zatik Security, Jon Callas leads a collective of cybersecurity experts dedicated to providing security guidance for small to medium businesses facing talent shortages. Previous roles include Director of Public Interest Technology at the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Senior Technology Fellow at the ACLU. Jon Callas has significant experience in security management, having worked at Apple as a Security Design and Architecture Manager and as a Chief Technical Officer at Entrust and Silent Circle. Jon Callas co-founded Blackphone and PGP Corporation, emphasizing a strong foundation in cryptography and concurrent programming systems.
