Former Secretary Ministry of Provincial Councils and Local Government from 2015-2019 and acted as the Chief Executive officer as well as Chief Accounting officer of the Ministry. As a Result of Cabinet Reshuffle on time to time Sports and Internal Affairs and Home Affairs included as additional Cabinet Subjects. In addition to that, 32 years of experience in Sri Lanka Administrative Service.

He Served Various positions in the Different fields. From 2011-2015 worked as Government Agent/District Secretary at Colombo and Kalutara. From 2006-2011 worked as Director General of Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education, acted as a chief academic officer and Chief Executive Officer. While working as Secretary to relevant Ministries, He hold responsible Key positions as Chairman of Sri Lanka Institute of Local Governance and Local Loan Development Fund, and Competent Authority of Sri Lanka Cricket. In addition to that, he served as a Board Member of Urban Development Authority, Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, National Education Commission, Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA) and Council Member of the University of Sri Jayawardanapura.

At Present he is a Director of the Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Board (SLAEB). While working in different key positions. He had a golden opportunity to lead and represent Sri Lankan delegations in USA, UK, The Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Singapore, Ireland, Dubai, Ethiopia, Japan, South Korea, India, Pakistan, Philippine, Bangladesh, Indonesia, China and Australia.

The Atomic Energy Board (AEB) of Sri Lanka is a Statutory Body functioning under the Ministry of Power and Energy which was established by the Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Act No.40 of 2014.Radiation and Radioisotope Technology has a wide range of applications in many fields that can make a significant contribution to the development of medical, agricultural, industrial, energy and environmental sectors in Sri Lanka. The Atomic Energy Board (AEB) has the responsibility of facilitating the utilization of this technology in the above-mentioned sectors in Sri Lanka.
