Samitha Liyanage is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in human resources, administration, and teaching. Currently serving as an Academic Administrator at LD Training Services Limited since October 2023 and a Visiting Lecturer at the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing since 2019, Samitha has previously held roles including Communication and Administration Officer at Birmingham Churches Together, and Head of Human Resources at Sana Commerce Sri Lanka and ISM APAC. With a strong foundation in training, operations, and project management gained during tenure at Innodata Inc., Samitha has contributed to organizational branding and employee wellbeing. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in International Business with Human Resource Management from Ulster University, along with multiple HR management certifications from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and an MBA from the University of Colombo.

Since 1970, SLIM has been promoting marketing excellence and elevating the status of marketing in Sri Lanka. Subsequently incorporated by an Act of Parliament in 1980, SLIM is a member of the Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka and of ESOMAR, the Federation of Marketing Research Industries. We are also a member of the Asia Marketing Federation, which is affiliated to the World Marketing Association. Vision To lead the nation’s efforts towards economic prosperity.
