Currently serving as Head of Production/Culinary at SriLankan Catering Limited since January 2022, Indrajit oversees airport lounges food operations, restaurant culinary offerings, and related services. Previously, Indrajit held roles such as Executive Chef at Ethiopian Airlines and Executive Sous Chef at MIDROC Investment Group, focusing on innovative menu development and quality control. Early career experiences include positions at Emirates Flight Catering and The Oberoi Group, contributing to kitchen operations and menu innovation. Indrajit holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Hospitality & Culinary from Queen Margaret University and has earned culinary training from Le Cordon Bleu London.

Incorporated in 1979, as Air Lanka Catering Services Limited with BOI status, SriLankan Catering commenced business as a Joint Venture with Thai Airways International. In 1998 when the Joint Venture Agreement with Thai Airways International lapsed Air Lanka Limited bought the shares of the Joint venture partner and thus Air Lanka Catering Services became the fully owned subsidiary of SriLankan Airlines Limited. Thereafter the Company changed its name to SriLankan Catering (Private) Limited in September 2000. SriLankan Catering is currently the sole airline caterer operating at the Bandaranaike International Airport. SriLankan Catering boasts of a state of the art Flight Kitchen, one of the best in Asia. In its journey through the years SriLankan Catering has grown into a star class operation winning several local and overseas catering accolades. Today SriLankan Catering has been converted into a Public Company to meet the challenges of the Industry and grow in stature to be the best airline caterer in Asia.
