Laura Volden

Laura Volden is a Hydrogeochemist at SRK Consulting, where expertise encompasses water-rock interactions in surface and groundwater systems, with extensive experience in mining projects, particularly coal and copper porphyry deposits. Previously, Laura was an M.Sc. candidate at Simon Fraser University, investigating the geochemistry of selenium in biologically treated mine-impacted water. Prior roles include Hydrogeologist at Amec Foster Wheeler, managing groundwater monitoring and field programs, and Environment Health & Safety Technician at Devon Energy, handling regulatory reporting and compliance. Laura holds an M.Sc. in Geochemistry from Simon Fraser University and a B.Sc. in Environmental Science (Geology) from the University of Calgary.
