Sowmiya's career began as a Programmer Analyst at Cognizant Technology Solutions from November 2009 to August 2010. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Geodesy and Geoinformation Science from Technische Universität Berlin (2010-2012) and a Bachelor of Engineering in Geoinformatics from the College of Engineering, Guindy (2005-2009).
