Oskari Haiko

Oskari Haiko is a Senior Development Engineer at SSAB, with experience in research and materials engineering spanning over a decade. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oulu since 2014, Oskari's work focuses on wear-resistant steels, examining the microstructural and mechanical properties that influence their wear performance. Previous roles include a Graduate Student at Ruukki, investigating ultra-high-strength steels, and summer trainee positions at Valmet Fabrics Oy and Metso Fabrics Oy, honing operational skills. Oskari holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Materials Engineering from Tampere University of Technology, alongside a Doctor of Science from the University of Oulu. Education also includes an exchange program in Metallurgy at Montanuniversität Leoben.
