Brian Carey

Brian Carey has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Brian started their career as a Courtesy Clerk at Safeway in 1982 and later worked as a Receiving and Warehouse Clerk at Wal-Mart from 1986 to 1991. In 1991, they joined Texas A&M University as a Grounds Keeper and gradually progressed to roles like Grounds Keeper 2 and Grounds Keeper 3, where they operated various types of machinery and supervised crews. At Texas A&M, they also served as a Turf Foreman, responsible for maintaining 63 acres of natural and artificial turf. In 2012, they became a Sports Field Team Manager at SSC Service Solutions, where they currently work.

Brian Carey attended Bryan High School from 1982 to 1986. Brian did not obtain a degree or major in any particular field of study during this time. In terms of additional certifications, Brian obtained a Sports Field Safety certification from TURFindustry in April 2015. Brian also has certifications in Certified Sports Field Manager, Commercial Pesticide Applicator License from the Texas Dept. of Agriculture, and Master Certified Professional Turf Manager from the Texas Turfgrass Association.
