Paul Rees

Paul Rees has an extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Paul is currently the Director of Strategic Growth at SSE Energy Solutions, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Energy Infrastructure at the same company from May 2021 to January 2023.

Before joining SSE Energy Solutions, Rees worked at Applecroft Services Ltd as the Managing Director from February 2018 to April 2021. During this time, they also took on additional roles, such as being a Non-Executive/Strategic Advisor to Nexus Infrastructure Services PLC and providing strategic advisory and transaction support services to Metrolinx, an agency of the government of Ontario.

Earlier in their career, Rees held several positions at Carillion, including Group Strategy Director from September 2013 to January 2018. Paul was also a Director at Amey, where they served as the Head of Mergers and Acquisitions/Head of AmeyCepsa, Business Development Director, and Director of Corporate Development.

Rees started their career as a Project Finance Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1998.

Paul Rees attended the University of Brighton from 1988 to 1992, earning a B.Sc in Building Engineering and Management.
