Junaid Akhtar

Junaid Akhtar MBA has a diverse work experience in the field of IT and architecture. Junaid is currently working as a Lead Solutions Architect at SSE plc since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Solutions Architect at N Brown Group from January 2021 to August 2022.

Before transitioning into architecture roles, Junaid was the owner and founder of their own company called Appointbox from November 2017 to June 2020. Junaid also worked as an Infrastructure Architect at ACCESS LLP from October 2015 to November 2017, where they played a key role in managing enterprise architecture and reducing the IT budget for Glasgow City Council.

Additionally, Junaid has experience as an Infrastructure Specialist at CapQuest Limited from August 2012 to August 2015, where they led the transformation of UK sites and handled the closure and migration of services. Junaid also worked as an ICT Infrastructure Administrator at ABC UK from August 2007 to August 2012, where they modernized the IT infrastructure and implemented a virtualization program.

Junaid began their career as a Systems Administrator at Viglen from June 2005 to July 2007 and as an IT Support Analyst at Preventon Technologies Ltd from 2003 to 2005.

Junaid Akhtar MBA completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Strathclyde Business School in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a HND in Computing Support from West College Scotland from 1997 to 1999.
