Alan Hickey

Alan Hickey is a Graduate Engineer at SSE Renewables, having joined the company in September 2023. At SSE, Alan has gained experience across various teams including grid, electrical, commissioning, and project engineering, contributing to operational and development projects in Ireland and the United Kingdom. Alan holds a Master of Engineering in Energy Systems Engineering from University College Dublin, completed in 2023, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the same institution, earned in 2021. Prior to pursuing higher education, Alan completed the Leaving Certificate at Christian Brothers' College, Monkstown Park, in 2018. Additionally, Alan has worked as a Student Employee in Resource Adequacy at the Electric Power Research Institute from January to August 2022 and served as a Sales Assistant at Uniformity from 2016 to 2021.
