Barry James Ashcroft

Barry James Ashcroft is an experienced Telecommunications Specialist currently working at SSE Renewables since October 2021. Prior to this role, Barry held various positions including Transmission Planner at Neos Networks, Senior Network/Communications Engineer at Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, and Spectrum Manager at The Scottish Government. With a strong foundation in engineering and communications, Barry has also served as a Communications Engineer at Strathclyde Fire & Rescue and held multiple technical support and engineering positions at companies such as Westica Ltd and TS Communications. Barry’s educational background includes a Foundation Degree in Information and Communication Technologies from The Open University and a BSc in Electronics from Caledonian University.
