Paul Pickup

Paul Pickup is an experienced professional in the renewable energy and land development sectors, currently serving as the Head of Origination, Land & Estates (Onshore) at SSE Renewables since November 2022. Previously, Paul held various roles, including Development Manager at Ørsted and Head of Land & New Projects at Muirhall Energy. With a robust background at ScottishPower Renewables, Paul progressed from Land & Estates Surveyor to New Business Manager over a span of nearly 13 years. Earlier experience includes positions at Bellway Homes as a Land Buyer and Mono Consultants as a Surveyor, along with prior roles at LCC UK and Nova Group. Paul holds multiple degrees, including an MSc in Surveying from the University of Reading and an LLB (Hons) in Law from the University of South Wales.
