Earlier in their career, Steve worked at Venturi Technology Partners as a Project Manager contracted to T-Mobile HotSpot, managing multiple teams during a major Wi-Fi operations upgrade. Steve also worked as an Independent Senior Billing Consultant at Vitria Technology and as the Senior Technical Project Manager, MIS - Portal Development at WorldCom.

Furthermore, Steve has experience working at Portal Software, where they led Portal Infranet implementations for key clients including Sirius Satellite Radio, XM Satellite Radio, and AOL Time Warner. Steve also worked at America Online, Inc. as the Senior Technical Manager, leading system enhancements and upgrades to the Arbor/BP billing system.

Steve began their career at Bell Atlantic Internet Solutions as a Technical Leader, fully deploying the InterMail system and leading all aspects of the project. Steve later worked at Bell Atlantic NSI as the Senior Manager, Strategic Billing Systems, managing a team for the development and maintenance of strategic data architecture and contributing to the design of the expressTRAK system.

In May 2013, they attained the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
