Valerie Austin, PhD, is a Professor at St. Andrews University since January 2015, where responsibilities include producing original course content, preparing instructional materials, and directing stakeholders to relevant resources. Prior to this role, Valerie served as Program Director and Project Manager at UNC Pembroke from August 2008 to August 2016, overseeing academic programs, fostering partnerships, and managing initiatives. Valerie's earlier experience includes a tenure as a University Instructor at the University of Florida from 1997 to 2005, where the focus was on curriculum design, mentoring teachers, and supervising university interns. Valerie holds a Ph.D. in Musicology from the University of Florida, along with two Master's degrees in Music History, one from the University of Florida and another from Trinity College Dublin.
