Teresa Burton

Teresa Burton, MSN, RN-BC, CIC, is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in infection prevention and regulatory compliance. Currently serving as a Regulatory Compliance Specialist at St. Francis Medical Center since March 2020, Teresa has also held the position of Infection Prevention Director at Community Health Systems since December 2009 and served as an Infection Control Director at Southside Regional Medical Center from December 2010 to January 2021. Teresa’s career began at Southside Regional Medical Center, where Teresa worked as a Nursing Supervisor in the Intensive Care Unit from May 1999 to December 2009. Educational credentials include a Master's Degree in Nursing Administration from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University.
