Lisa Raitt is currently a Board Member at St. Francis Xavier University. Lisa previously served as the Deputy Leader of the Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they were the Finance Critic for the Conservative Party of Canada from October 2015 to November 2016. From July 2013 to November 2015, Ms. Raitt was the Minister of Transport for the Government of Canada. From January 2010 to July 2013, they served as the Minister of Labour for the Government of Canada. Ms. Raitt was also the Minister of Natural Resources for the Government of Canada from October 2008 to January 2010. In addition, they have been a Member of Parliament for the Parliament of Canada since October 2008 and was President & Chief Executive Officer of PortsToronto from September 2002 to October 2008. Ms. Raitt was also a Visiting Scholar at Inns of Court from September 1998 to July 1999.
Lisa Raitt has a Bachelor of Laws from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School, a Master of Science in Biochemical Toxicology from the University of Guelph, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from St. Francis Xavier University.
