Mary Helen Acosta is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Middle School Dean of Students at St. Gabriel's Catholic School since July 2017. Prior to this role, Acosta worked as the Write for Texas Coordinator at the Meadows Center for Preventing Educational Risk from 2015 to 2017. Acosta's background includes positions at Trinity University as a Certification & Assessment Specialist and McNair Scholars Program Assistant, and as an Advisor & Degree Counselor at Southern Methodist University. Acosta began the career as a Teacher at St. Agnes Academy from 1996 to 1998. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from Rice University, a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Literacy Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington, and a Master of Public Service & Administration from Texas A&M University.
