Mark Cranmer

Director, Joint Research & Enterprise Services at St George's, University of London

Mark Cranmer is the current Director of Joint Research & Enterprise Services at St George's, University of London. Prior to this, they served as Division Manager and Deputy Faculty Manager at UCL from October 2012 to October 2016. In this role, they oversaw the UCL Division of Surgery and led the Division's professional services team. Mark also played a cross-faculty role as Deputy Faculty Manager for UCL Medical Sciences. Cranmer has also previously served as Head of Grants and Contracts at Imperial College London from December 2001 to October 2012. In this role, they managed the grants and contracts teams of the Joint Research Office, providing research management support to Imperial College Faculty of Medicine and Imperial College NHS Trust. Mark also set up the NHS commercial team and established costing and contracting policies. Under their leadership, the team saw improvements in financial management, leading to risk reduction and cash flow improvement.

Mark Cranmer has a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from The University of Law, a Graduate Diploma in Law from The University of Law, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Economics and Statistics from UCL. Mark also has certification from - in Change Management Registered Practitioner and PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner.
