Tya Ulacia-Oliver has extensive experience in accounting and finance. Ointya (Tya) served as the Director of the Business Office at St. Hilda's & St. Hugh's School, overseeing accounting, reporting, and internal controls. As a Controller at the same school, they championed efforts to decrease accounting discrepancies and improve processes. Before that, they worked as a Senior Accountant at Berkeley Carroll School, where they managed the Business Office and led a team in streamlining the month-end closing process. Tya also has experience in non-profit organizations, including serving as a Partner Program Coordinator at The Partnerships for America and a Part-time Bookkeeper at Helping Hands Christian Community Center. Ointya (Tya) started their career in accounting as a Bookkeeper at Heavenly Miracle Academy and later worked as an Accounts Receivables Clerk and Collection Officer at MARKSMAN LTD. Ointya (Tya) Ulacia-Oliver completed their Master of Science (MS) in Finance from Southern New Hampshire University from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from Berkeley College, where they studied from 2014 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, Tya obtained a certification as a Commissioned Notary Public from NY in August 2021.
