Jared Phares

Jared Phares has a diverse work experience in the field of church ministry and operations. Jared started their career as a Youth Pastor at St. James Episcopal Church in 2009, where they served until 2013. During this time, they focused on overseeing the ministry to students and implementing outreach and discipleship strategies.

In 2010, Jared also worked as the Head of Security at The Door/The Prophet Bar, where they ensured the safety of guests and maintained venue standards.

Following their role at St. James Episcopal Church, Jared gained experience in the music industry as the Booking Coordinator and Operations Manager at The Door Clubs from 2012 to 2015. Jared handled inquiries, managed supplies, and scheduled performances to provide excellent shows at the venues.

In 2013, Jared joined St. Andrews Episcopal Church as a Youth Minister, where they continued their focus on student ministry and outreach until 2016. Jared then transitioned to Creekwood United Methodist Church, where they served as the Director of Student Ministries from 2016 to 2017. In this role, they oversaw the ministry for students in grades 5-12 and led the Senior High Group.

Jared returned to St. James Episcopal Church in 2018 and took on the position of Director of Membership and Communication, responsible for church-wide communications and youth ministry. In 2021, they transitioned to the role of Director of Operations, which they currently hold.

Throughout their various roles, Jared has demonstrated a passion for creating opportunities, events, and experiences for students to grow in their faith and community. Jared has also been involved in managing communications efforts, including social media updates, website maintenance, and producing graphics and materials.
